Deviation Parameters: Upon request by a passenger (all passengers are eligible, not just people with disabilities) using The Dalles Deviated Fixed Route, LINK Public Transportation will deviate up to one-quarter of a mile from the established route.

Time is built into the schedule to allow for deviations.  Therefore, buses may arrive at bus stops earlier than the scheduled time if there are no deviations, but the bus will not depart that bus stop prior to the time posted on the schedule.

Deviation Request Procedures: Riders may request route deviation by calling LINK at 541-296-7595 between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the day prior to desired trip. LINK prefers at least 24 hour notice before the desired trip, yet will attempt to accommodate the trip if notified by 6:00 pm the day before.  The rider will be assigned a pick-up time. Buses operating on route deviation service will be unable to wait for a passenger who is not at the designated stop on time.

Passenger Assistance:  LINK drivers will assist riders with disabilities in boarding and disembarking from buses  and in securing their mobility devices. All drivers who operate LINK services are proficiently trained in passenger assistance and sensitivity towards persons with disabilities.
