The Sherman County Court recently approved increasing a grant to encourage the development of new rental housing in Sherman County, Oregon. They increased grant funding to provide up to $10,000 per unit. The County also developed a new grant program to support rehabilitation of existing, non-owner occupied housing. These two programs join a longer-standing effort from the County to provide construction bridge loans for housing and together represent creative ways our local governments are working to address the housing needs in the Gorge.
