The Dalles Fixed Routes and Schedules
Fixed Routes Times and Stops are supplemented by the ability to deviate to an individual’s home or other requested stop up to one-quarter of a mile from the established route.
Deviated Routes (otherwise known as Dial-A-Ride) service is available to all passengers upon request. Riders may request route deviation by calling the LINK at 541-296-7595 between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm the day prior to the desired trip. 24 hours advance notice before the desired trip is preferred. However, The Link will make every effort to accommodate your trip if we are notified by 6:00 pm the day before.
Buses operating on route deviation service will be unable to wait for a passenger who is not at the designated stop on time.
Time is built into the schedule to allow for deviations. Therefore, buses may arrive at bus stops earlier than the scheduled time if there are no deviations, but the bus will not depart that bus stop prior to the time posted on the schedule.
Passenger Assistance: LINK drivers will assist riders with disabilities in boarding and disembarking from buses and in securing their mobility devices. All drivers who operate LINK services are proficiently trained in passenger assistance and sensitivity towards persons with disabilities.
