MCEDD staff supports development of community facilities as an important piece of the physical infrastructure for a community and social connections.
Community Facilities: Completed Projects
- Klickitat County, in partnership with Klickitat School District #402, completed a remodel of an existing 8,000 SF community center located in Klickitat, Washington. MCEDD provided the grant administration for this project.
- Columbia Gorge Regional Airport, jointly owned by the City of The Dalles and Klickitat County, constructed a 12,000 SF flex hangar space building in the Airport Business Park to serve multiple tenants, such as Life Flight. MCEDD provided grant administration and review of labor standards.
- Wasco County, in partnership with Mid-Columbia Center for Living (MCCFL), constructed a 22,000+ SF mental health facility in The Dalles. The new building allowed MCCFL to consolidate all programs and administration in one building and enable separate treatment areas for adult and children services. MCCFL Project Flyer
