Kate joined MCEDD in 2021 as the Deputy Director of Transportation. She oversees the regional planning work MCEDD engages in through the Translink Alliance as well as managing the Link bus service. Prior to MCEDD, Kate worked as a Senior Planner at the Portland Bureau of Transportation and as a transportation planning consultant working in communities large and small across the Northwest. As a born and raised Oregonian, she started her career working in Congress on behalf of her State. Kate received her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University and her Bachelors of Art from Smith College in Northampton, MA. She’s a lifelong lover of the outdoors – camping, gardening, and racing her bike in gravel, cyclocross, and mountain bikes races throughout Oregon.
