Text Box: Overall, rent in the Mid-Columbia is relatively inexpensive compared to National and Oregon and Washington levels.  Among the Counties the great exception is Hood River, where rents are anywhere between 50% and 90% higher on average than other Counties.  This high rent may be responsible for that county having the highest rate of renter-occupied housing of any in the region
