Eric Nerdin joined Mid-Columbia Economic Development District, (MCEDD) in 2008 as its Loan Fund Manager. MCEDD’s loan program provides business loans to a wide variety of small businesses as part of a regional economic development strategy to help create jobs. Eric is a tireless advocate as he networks with banks, business owners and other partners of MCEDD. As part of the MCEDD team, Eric also manages the Cascade Locks-Hood River Enterprise Zone, Oregon Investment Board loan programs and a variety of other small financing contracts. Eric’s prior background includes being a small business owner, bank and credit union branch manager and commercial loan officer. Eric earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University. As an active community member, Eric has served on various boards, councils and committees supporting education, economic development and youth sports in multiple communities over the past 25 years. Eric is married to Kari and they are proud parents of their two sons, Zach and Logan and their daughter, Allison.
