Timelines
The OIB generally meets on the second Thursday of each month. One unbound original and twelve double sided copies of the application are due at the MCEDD office by the 25th of the month. Please also submit an electronic file of your application. Generally, the application process requires approximately eight weeks.
MCEDD will review all applications to determine whether OIB eligibility requirements have been met. Completed applications will be presented to the OIB at the next regular meeting for review. The Cerfication Application (section 3 of the application) will be forwarded to the Columbia River Gorge Commission (CRGC) for review of the project to determine if it meets with the purposes of the National Scenic Act.
If the OIB approves the project and the CRGC certifies the project, applicants will be asked to sign loan agreements (if applicable) and a contract that will include performance standards. Semi-annual reporting and documentation of progress of project, budget and achievement of performance measures are required of all funded projects.
