OIB Funds Gorge Angel Conference and Farmer's Conservation Alliance
 Hood River County was awarded a $2,500 grant to be used to support the 2009 Gorge Angle Conference, an educational, investment and networking event for angel investors and early-stage entrepreneurs. A grant of $5,000 was awarded to the Farmer's Conservation Alliance to help secure additional funding form the Oregon Investment Board, United States Department of Agriculture, and Oregon Department of Energy. These funds will help produce the "Navigator" project, a guide discussing resource efficiency, energy generation and resources available for businesses and consumers. . .[read full article]

09/23/08: Main Street Mosier Receive OIB Funding Main Street Mosier a $5,500 Oregon Investment Board grant to fund a household survey as part of "Re-establish a Rural Community that Works for Residents and Visitors in the 21st Century". 09/23/08: Oregon Solutions Process for Columbia Gorge Discovery Center Wasco County received $7,000 in grant funds as matching funds for a concurrent application to Oregon Solutions. Funds will be used to facilitate governance restructuring, provide funding for meetings, facilitators, and consultants and other ancillary expenses. [read full article]

07/15/08: Farmer's Conservation Alliance and Bambinos Receive OIB Funding The Farmer's Conservation Alliance received a $5,000 Oreogn Investment Board grant to develop and distribute the "Navigator," a resource guide to energy efficiency. The OIB also awarded $10,000 in grant funds and $100,000 in loan funds to Hood River Learning Center, dba Bambinos. [read full article]

03/18/08: OIB funds Mosier Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Oregon Investment Board awarded $25,000 in grant funds and $25,000 in loan funds to the City of Mosier for upgrades to their Wastewater Treatment Facility. [read full article]

1/11/07: $63,500 in OIB funds Awarded The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Oregon Investment Board awarded grants totaling $63,500 in January. 11/09/06: Hood River Waterfront Community Park Association receives grant funds for Fundraising Campaign The Hood River Waterfront Community Park Association was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Oregon Investment Board to support a fundraising campaign for the Hood River Waterfront Park. Through this fundraising campaign, the Waterfront Association plans to raise $1 million by the fall of 2007 to begin construction on a waterfront park. [read full article]

3/11/04: $10,000 Grants Awarded to Gorge Games & Waterpark Feasibility Study
The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Oregon Investment Board (OIB) has awarded two $10,000 grants to Limitless Events and Marketing of Hood River. One grant will be used for marketing the 2004 Gorge Games...The other $10,000 grant will be used to conduct a feasibility study for a large Waterpark/Theme Park development in The Dalles.   [read full article]

6/25/04: Port of The Dalles Receives Approval from OIB          
Bill Lyons, Chairman of the Oregon Investment Board announced today that the Board gave preliminary approval to the Port of The Dalles for a $200,000 loan and a $20,000 grant at its June 12, 2003 meeting. These funds will be part of the financing for a $607,000 project to ready 21 one to two acre lots for industrial development by adding utility infrastructure and roads.   [read full article]
